A parameter is a value linked to a specific article or product order, often one of a product's directly measurable properties, such as its color or dimension.
A parameter consists of two elements: the parameter’s key (the parameter’s name) and value (the parameter’s attribute, which can be qualitative or quantitative). See the example image below.
Note: If the parameter key consists of two or more words, use an underscore between the words, as shown above.
Parameter formulas
A parameter formula is the text you write to reference a parameter's value, for example ${Parameter_key}, or to perform a calculation with it, such as ${Parameter_key + 3}. Writing a parameter formula into a work instruction step, an image, or a docx report template makes that parameter's value appear there automatically.
