Azumuta can automatically sign out users on both the admin interface and the operator app after a configurable period of inactivity. Before being signed out, users see a clear warning modal, giving them the chance to continue their session.
This setting is only available to admins who have access to “Settings” under “Management”. Read more about user rights for the Management tab.
How to Access the Session Time-Out Settings
- Click on “Settings” under “Management”.
- Click on “Workspace” under “General”.
- Scroll down to the session timeout fields.
How to Configure a Session Time-Out
There are two separate fields, so you can set a different time-out for each interface:
- “Session timeout for admin interface (minutes)”: the number of minutes of inactivity before a user is signed out of the admin interface.
- “Session timeout for operator interface (minutes)”: the number of minutes of inactivity before a user is signed out of the operator app.
Leave a field empty to disable the session time-out for that interface.
When the configured period of inactivity is almost reached, a warning modal is shown first. Users can dismiss it to stay signed in; otherwise, they are signed out automatically.
Operator Interface Timeout Offline
On the operator app, the session timeout is enforced on the device itself, including when the tablet is offline. Idle time is tracked locally, so a device without a connection does not stay signed in indefinitely.
There is no separate offline setting. The same “Session timeout for operator interface (minutes)” value applies whether the device is online or offline.
Warning Modal
When the idle period is almost up, operators see a warning modal:
- Title: Warning
- Message: Your session will expire soon due to inactivity
- Buttons: Continue session and Sign out now
Choosing Continue session resets the idle timer and keeps the operator signed in. Choosing Sign out now (or letting the timer run out) signs the operator out.
After Timeout
When the operator next reaches the login screen after a timeout, they may see:
Your session has timed out due to inactivity. Please log in again to continue.
