Azumuta is a highly versatile platform. Countless randapparaten can be integrated into your Azumuta platform to fulfill all of your shop floor needs.
Previously, we've shown you how to integrate a randapparaat into your Azumuta workspace.
In general, using a randapparaat takes 2 phases: creating a product check and using the randapparaat on that product check. We will explain both phases in the sections below.
We will use the example of using a temperature gun to show how randapparaten work within Azumuta.
Note: At the moment, you can only use a randapparaat to complete a product check from a computer (be it a desktop computer or a laptop computer) or a Windows tablet.
Phase 1: Creating a Product Check
In Azumuta, a randapparaat is meant to be used on a product check. Therefore, you will first have to create a product check. Here's how:
- Navigate to the instructiestap where you would like to add a check into, and click on "Open".
- Click the "Check" tab.
- Select one of the available checks. Make sure that the product check type is the same as the product check type that you chose when you were adding this randapparaat to your workspace.
- Select the Randapparaatgroep that you've previously added.
- Select the Randapparatuur-preset that you've previously added (if any).
- Fill out the rest of the product check configuration options (if needed).
Phase 2: Using the Peripheral Device on That Product Check
A randapparaat is generally used by an Operator that executes werkinstructies on the shop floor.
- Open the Plugin that you've received from Azumuta. To get the Plugin, please ons te contacteren, as each randapparaat type requires a specific Plugin.
- Navigate to the instructiestap that requires you to use a randapparaat to complete a product check. Before using the randapparaat, make sure that the randapparaat's Status is "Connected with [randapparaat name here]", as shown in the image below:
- Use the randapparaat to complete the product check. In the video, we used the example of using a temperature gun to measure an object's temperature in the form of a number check. Thus, we aimed the temperature gun at the desired object to get its temperature. The temperature gun's reading was automatically relayed to our computer, and it became our answer for this product check.
- Afterward, click on the send knop. You will automatically proceed to the next instructiestap.
Note: When using any randapparaat on Azumuta, please ensure that the Plugin is always open. Don't close the Plugin until you've finished using the randapparaat.
Disable a Peripheral Temporarily
If a randapparaat is unavailable (for example during maintenance or a temporary connection issue), you can disable it so Operators can still complete the related product checks by entering the answer by hand.
- Open the randapparaat in Management → Randapparaten (or edit it from the randapparaten list).
- Tick Randapparaat tijdelijk uitschakelen.
When this option is on, the randapparaat's Status shows as Tijdelijk uitgeschakeld. Operators can then type the answer manually. This overrides the product check option Toestaan dat antwoord manueel wordt ingevoerd when that option would otherwise block manual entry.
To use the randapparaat again, clear Randapparaat tijdelijk uitschakelen and save.
