Identity, SSO & Session Security
OpenID Connect (OIDC) is available for sign-in with corporate identity providers, and SSO now extends to the operator interface (web and native) using the same configuration as the admin app. Sessions expire after configurable inactivity with a warning before logout, and workspaces can lock operator devices to a single user per session. Impersonation is opt-in by default for GMP environments, and outgoing notification emails can use your own SMTP sender address instead of the default no-reply address.

Signatures & Four-Eyes Compliance
Electronic signature and approval sign-offs can require OIDC re-authentication or badge verification, with every attempt recorded in the audit trail. You can require a signature before a critical step or board task moves forward — in work instructions or on improvement board tasks — and choose who may sign: a specific person, a user group, or the current operator. Operators authenticate by badge, email and password, or SSO when stricter re-authentication is required.
New devices default to blocking operators from double-checking their own answers, and quality controllers receive email when a double-check is pending. Work instruction authors can no longer approve or sign the same version they created, and the double-check UI hides entirely when the feature is off.

Audit Trail & Traceability
A dedicated Audit Trail screen under Settings supports filtering and export for compliance reviews, and finished audit results can be locked so pass and fail outcomes cannot be changed after execution.
Work instruction versions now distinguish approved and effective dates in revision history, and a board item can move automatically when its linked instruction reaches its effective date. In multi-step approvals, each approval column opens for signing only after the previous column is complete.

Faster Authoring & Fewer Mistakes
Insert steps and blocks from the template library directly in the step quick menu, and newly created audits link automatically to their review board. Operators get a confirmation before leaving an in-progress work instruction on the operator app, and training reminders can trigger a set number of days after an event. Completed digital forms export to structured PDF for archival in regulated environments.

Notifications & Admin UX
Email notifications go to users or groups when electronic signatures are required, matching approval-flow behavior. The "Hide User Rights" control is visually separated from regular permission toggles to prevent accidental lockouts, and the rights matrix is clearer for day-to-day administration.
